About Me

Hi! My name is Anastasia Carrico, and I am an undergraduate student at the University of Richmond, studying Visual Arts and Art History. My work is rooted in a deep love of color, beauty, and faith, and it grows from a desire to honor creation through the act of making.

I am continually drawn to the poetic nature of the artist’s hand in creation, and the way softness, color, and intention can transform the familiar into something sacred. Through my work, I seek to explore and celebrate the beauty of creation, creating moments of intimacy between the viewer and the image. My faith and beliefs in Christianity serve as a central source of inspiration, guiding the spirit behind my work.

Working primarily in watercolor, I am drawn to the medium’s softness, fluidity, and vulnerability. I use vibrant colors and forms to invite viewers into a space of reflection and tenderness.

In my children’s illustrations, I aim to engage the imagination with warmth and wonder. I am especially passionate about creating work that speaks to children, art that fuels curiosity, nurtures imagination, and encourages a sense of awe toward the world around them. Through storytelling and image-making, I hope to create visual spaces where beauty, faith, and imagination meet, and I invite you to explore my portfolio and share in the wonder and spirit that shape my work.
